Shark Point is justifiably regarded as one of Phuket’s premier diving destinations hence there will always numerous divers or boats on the diving site. Shark point dive site consist of 3 main reefs or pinnacles (1) the main site is identified by a small rock on the surface with a cross to warn off local boat traffic. Shark point dive site is often 1 of the sites that can be combined with a 3 dive trip to Phi Phi Island or whilst Diving the King Cruiser and is a suitable dive for Open water to advanced certified divers

Shark Point scuba diving is a full day trip on a large boat that take you on a 3 dive trip and has the best chances for divers to dive with sharks. This Phuket scuba diving trip will blow your Fins off when it comes to seeing some of the most diverse marine life packed into every square inch of this famous dive site.

Shark point can be described as having 3 sites all called Pinnacles that’s narrowly separated but forms a huge dive site. The Main Shark Point Pinnacle 1 is above the surface at the north, this is normally the entry point for the dive.

The site named after the local leopard sharks that sometimes visit the location. It can best be described as a line of remote limestone pinnacle running North to South. 

All three Shark Point reefs combine to comprise a large grouping of submerged rocky lime stone out crops covered with soft and hard corals. Leopard sharks also known as Zebra Sharks put this dive site at the top of the list and making this the main reason for Scuba Divers from all over Asia and the world travel to Phuket to visit Shark Point.

Sharp Point diving trips are combined with PADI  Advanced Open water courses as its a popular location for divers in education.

SHARK POINT SCHEDULE

Pick-up times from your hotel For the day trip are around 7.00am to 7:30am, breakfast, lunch, drinking water, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, tanks, weights, weight belt and dive master guide are all included in the Day Trip price. Please note that for some remote areas in Phuket transfer fee will be added.. After the day trip returning back to your hotel around 4:30 – 5:30pm

SHARK POINT DIVING DAY TRIP ITINERARY

• 07:00 am – 8:00am – Pick up from hotels with a transfer to Chalong Pier.
• 08:45 am – Depart Shark Point, breakfast and fresh fruit served.
• 10:30 am – Arrive at Shark Point, to start the first dive.
• 11:30 am – Lunch is served as part of the Diving surface interval.
• 12:30 – Second dive Location Phi Phi or (King Cruiser for Advanced certified)
• 2:45 pm – Third dive Location Phi Phi or (Koh Doc Mai for Advanced certified)
• 4.45 pm – 5:300pm – Arrive back at the Pier for transfers back to your hotel.

Refresher dive with private instructor.

• I would advise that if you have not dived in while  (6 to 12 Months) or have had a longer period of inactivity then you take a refresher as identified by PADI safe diving Practices to refresh any diving skills you may have forgotten or be a little bit rusty.
  • Standard for SAFE DIVING 

Refreshers divers / check dives on the boat while fun diving are available + 1500 to add to the day trip price – Our Instructors will be waiting for you when you get out of the transfer Mini – Private 1:1 not available 14th Dec to 14 Jan

Scuba diving safety

As it may have been more than a few weeks since your past dive its better that you read over the attached medical form / Guidance notes for safe diving and note that you must wait 18- 24 hrs no fly time prior to taking a Flight.

Our Promise to you, at our registered PADI Dive Center (S23261), you can be confident and feel safe in knowing that we don not employ Dive Master Interns, Trainee’s, inexperienced Diving instructors or Back Packing Scuba Instructors to take you “to Scuba Diving at Shark Point” We can assure you now that your diving instructor will have many years experience, working all year round while living in Phuket, holding valid work permits Professionals that take your safety seriously and know the local diving conditions.

Please note that the National park fees (400thb + 200 per day for divers ) are applicable  – According to the new Policy enforced by the forestry Department of Thailand, We must inform you that all excursion tours that visit National Marine Parks – visitors are required to be prepared to pay Cash for Entry. Park fees are paid directly on the spot as cash at your own expense and are not allowed to be collected by us and included in our trip selling price. Read more click here
