Rescue Diver Course.

The Rescue Diver Course prepares you to anticipate problems, support divers in distress and manage dive accident scenes. You’ll get in-depth knowledge for rescue & stress management, accident management and a lot more. With the rescue skills you learn in open water training and rescue diver scenarios, you’ll become a more competent diver. Many divers will say this is the best diving course they’ve ever taken.

The SSI Rescue Courses consist of 3 main training segments, and you will learn this over 2 Day

• Rescue Knowledge Development Theory (free online theory with SSI Option) Alternative branded online elearning is available with additional costs + 2000 Thb.
• Rescue Confined water Training exercises and Rescue Diver skill development
• Rescue practice in Open water dive scenarios from a boat or beach.

The Knowledge Development part to the Rescue dive course involves watching videos and completing 5 Theory Chapters on your own, this can be classroom based study at the dive shop or online with free e Learning course study and Final exam prior to the Confined water training session.

Rescue Dive Training & Skill development are conducted in Confined water, at a swimming pool or at a Local beach or both. You learn and practice practical rescue and resuscitation techniques, and how to avoid hazardous situations.

Rescue diving open-water Scenarios are completed from a boat or beach. Here, you will apply and use all the skills you have learned from the confined skill session to effectively use resources to handle a search and recovery of a missing diver in open water.

Rescue (diver beach dive courses) are available between late December to late April, while Boat diving courses are available all year round.

Here’s the rescue skills we will teach you over the confined water pool session, how to look after yourself and care for others who need rescuing.

We will also cover setting up emergency Oxygen systems for Conscious breathing Victims.

RESCUE DIVER COURSE DAY 1:

Your Instructor will explain in detail about the Rescue course, you will watch “The Rescue Diver DVD”, and complete knowledge reviews in the Rescue Diver Manual, Starts with the Rescue Diver final exam, we then set up our scuba equipment and it’s off to our Private dive pool, where you will complete confined pool sessions skills

RESCUE DIVER COURSE DAY 2:

You and your instructor will then complete rescue dive scenarios conducted over open water training dives. You will be tested you on all the previous skills you have practiced and mastered in the confined portion at the pool, being supervised in a complete safe manner with your  Instructor at all times. After the first dive we will have lunch then after the 2nd dive scenario and after all performance requirements are met, its then time to say congratulations and well done on becoming a  Rescue Diver..

The prerequisites are that you are age 12 year or older, and have a current valid EFR certificate or equivalent first aid training certificate not older than 2 years.
