The Scuba Rangers course is for young children who are looking for action-packed fun time in a pool learning to scuba dive while completing exciting subaqua adventures.
Children are the key to the future of the scuba industry. Until now, they have never had the opportunity to be a solid part of the diving community. The Scuba Rangers Program was designed specifically to welcome children into the community and keep them a part of it for the rest of their lives, while learning valuable life tools, children build self confidence, discipline and self esteem teaching them to reach their goals through hard work, commitment, and fun.
Demo Ranger level.
Your child will have the chance to experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a Pro Instructor helping them to take their first breaths underwater in water in a shallower pool
The Scuba Rangers diving program is a club that offers numerous diving activities for children ages 8 – 12. Safety is a top priority and Scuba Rangers programs are only taught by specially trained instructors in a pool, or under confined water conditions in a protected area up to a maximum depth of 5 meters.
After successful completion of the Demo Ranger level, the Scuba Ranger has the opportunity to enroll in pool programs that are analogous to Specialty Programs. The Scuba Ranger is encouraged to attend local Rangers Club Meetings where they can practice their skills in the pool, be involved in pool activities and socialize with other Scuba Rangers.
The Scuba Rangers Program teaches children the knowledge and skills required to be a safe diver, while encouraging them to have as much fun as possible. As a pool/confined water only program, the Scuba Rangers
Program offers all of the training and education that a regular Open Water Diver receives, on a child’s level of understanding.
Once the child reaches the age of ten (depending on the agency), they have the opportunity to immediately challenge the Junior Open Water Diver Program, remain an active member of the Scuba
Rangers Program, or both.

The Rangers Club is unique not only to the diving community, but also to the majority of other adventure sports as well. It is the foundation upon which the Scuba Rangers Program has been built. Participation in the Rangers Club offers children the opportunity to learn more about the world around them, gain diving proficiency, be active in the community, meet new and interesting people, and do things they never imagined possible.
Because the Club is a cohesive group of children, they have the ability to create limitless opportunities and fun for themselves, their family and the dive facility. It is up to the individual instructor and Club to take advantage of the resources they have to bring the true luster of the program to light. If you work for the program, the program will, without a doubt, work for you. Our world, the diving world, is a special place.
However, the time has come to bring back the excitement, energy, and sense of pure enjoyment to our industry that children can best contribute.
As part of the Scuba Rangers Club, Scuba Rangers Club Members have the opportunity to earn new recognition levels by simply participating in Scuba Rangers Specialties and Club events. There are three recognition levels that Scuba Rangers may earn after the completion of the Development Program:
